The Maths Gnomes

These are the maths gnomes that I made.  We are using Waldorf in P's homeschooling.  The gnomes have wonderful stories which help with learning the four processes.  So here are Gnome Plus, Gnome Minus, King Equals, Gnome Times and Gnome Divide.
We use the stories from http://ebeth.typepad.com/serendipity/gnomes-and-gnumbers-a-mat.html.

6 months since I posted last!!!

Not very good at this, am I!!

Since July Phoebe has:

  • Looked after baby ducklings
  • Visited Stonehenge
  • Gone body surfing on the beach
  • Attended an open-air art exhibition
  • Gone to a Wood Fair

  • Finished a term of beginner swimming lessons
  • Moved up two classes in swimming for this term
  • Attended a home-school astronomy day at the local observatory
  • Gone to Forest School once a week
  • Been trick or treating
  • Almost learned to to a somersault in trampolining on her own
  • Won a silver medal and qualified to county level in trampolining competitions.

  • Made lots more butter, bread, yogurt and cakes.

So here's to writing more on what we do in 2014.

It is going to be a busy year!

My eldest son is getting married in August.
